With the Global Young Leaders Union, the Confucius Institute at the University of Graz is initiating an international network of young leaders, companies and start-ups.

Young managers and talents are to be encouraged and supported. The project, based in Graz, aims to strengthen Styria/Austria as a business location and raise its profile worldwide. The Union is a non-profit organisation that extends its activities around the world. It was founded in autumn 2021 and operates independently of any political, religious or ideological world view.

VISION

Young leaders take on an important responsibility in connecting the past and the future and form a major pillar of society. Back in 2013, the Confucius Institute at the University of Graz organised the first "Young Leaders Trip to China" for selected leaders from politics, business, science, society and the media.

The Global Young Leaders Union aims to promote networking and co-operation between European and Chinese young leaders and young leaders from other countries around the world. It promotes exchange and sustainable development in all areas of life and industries, supports global networking and prosperity, in particular connectivity and prosperity worldwide, especially in the fields of business, science and technology, education, culture, and contributes to global cooperation and peace.

The GLOBALYOUNG LEADERS UNION offers

  • Networking and exchange of information between Global Young Leaders

  • Free access to the China Business Hub at the Confucius Institute Graz

​​

  • Organization of diverse exchange and cooperation opportunities and events in the fields of business, science and technology, education, culture, etc;

​​

  • Organisation of Global Young Leaders Forums to present different views and development directions worldwide in all sectors and to discuss them from different perspectives;

​​

  • Training and enhancing intercultural management skills for Global Young Leaders;

​​

  • Organization of study trips for Global Young Leaders to China;

​​

  • Publication of a newsletter, establishment of a website for members of the Global Young Leaders Union;

​​

  • Support for the establishment of national and international branches of the Global Young Leaders Union;

​​

  • Motivating members of the Global Young Leaders Union and other organisations in all areas to sponsor, participate in or contribute to the development and rich programmes of the Union.
